Psalmus Humanus művészetpedagógiai egyesület

On March 6, 2003 the Ministry of Education registered the association among the
professional civil organizations engaged in public education.
On October 11, 2003 we inaugurated a plaque in the memory of Márta Nemesszeghy
Szentkirályi, the founder headmistress of the Music Primary School of Kecskemét.

On March 6-7, 2004 we initiated the national conference on art education PSALMUS
HUMANUS DAYS – Integrated art education at school and in the family.
The hungarian and foreign invitees of the conference were prestigious authorities
of their field, while the children’s performances gave a sample of the original and
rich professional methods currently on the stage of Hungarian education. As a sum-
mary of the conference we produced two three-hour professional videos as well as
               a CD-ROM.

In 2005 we edited an English language promotion material and a DVD.
We took part at the XVIIth International Kodály Sympsium in Leicester, Great
               Britain, on August 13-20, 2005.
Also, we were represented by our member Emőke Tari Solymosi at the Regional
Preparatori UNESCO Conference in Vilnius, Lithuania on September 8-11, 2005.
We are currently engaged in organizing the international conference on arts educa-
tion: Visegrad Countries Psalmus Humanus Forum – Integrated arts education at school
